Orchidopexy unilateral / bilateral

Orchidopexy is a procedure that involves freeing the seminal vas deferens from the elements that cause it to shorten. The seminal vas deferens includes all the structures that come out of the scrotum, such as the arterial and venous vessels or fasciae. The correspondingly elongated prepuce allows the testicles to be fixed in the scrotum so that they do not retract into the groin or abdominal cavity. The procedure involves making an incision in the scrotum and where the testicles are located and moving them to their proper place. The descended testicle is attached to the scrotal wall from the inside.

One or both testicles may require orchidopexy.
